haiku from the north interpreted by artists from the south

When North meets South is a Poems in the Waiting Room (NZ) art project. We’ve invited 20 Otago artists to each create a work in response to their chosen haiku supplied by North Island poets. During the year we’ll update you on the progress of the artists with interviews, photos of previous work and maybe a peek at their ‘haiku’ art work in progress. We’ll also feature the haiku poets – show some of their published haiku, provide bios and photos. The exhibition When North meets South will be held November 4 through to November 26 2012 when the completed art works will be available for purchase at Bellamy’s Gallery, Macandrew Bay, Dunedin.
