On Monday afternoon I was entertained by a group of Dunedin potters who’d come out to Macandrew Bay for lunch. They called in to Bellamys for a look around and a lively chat.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the social side of being at the Gallery.

And then on Tuesday afternoon I had the pleasure of hosting another three classes from Macandrew Bay School. The children were excited, attentive and eager to share their thoughts on the haiku and art.  They noted the number of artists who had included the haiku in their paintings, delighted in recognising the heron, admired the owls while I explained what box brownies were, and enjoyed the soaring hawk painting.
