Thank you and au revoir

Tonight I’m writing this with mixed emotions. After 8 months of planning and three weeks of showing, the exhibition is over!

It’s been an honour to meet such wonderful artists who were willing to take part in our project and, a pleasure to have emails popping in and out of my box from the haiku poets whose inspiring words were the foundation of the exhibition. Pauline and John Bellamy were great hosts and thoroughly immersed themselves in the project.

The commission Poems in the Waiting Room made from the works that sold will be used to take our project into Lower Hutt. Small steps are fine – that’s the way we worked our way through the South Island. If you want to follow the progress of Poems in the Waiting Room keep an eye out here for my occasional blog.

Ideas are already ticking over for another project in 2013. I’ll pop an update here after February and maybe redirect you to another blog site. Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Ruth
